baby sleeping through the night
Amazing Baby Sleep Secrets solves infant and toddler sleeping problems. Imagine having Gary Ezzo (Baby Wise), Dr. Richard Ferber (Ferber Method), Tracy Hogg (Baby Whisperer) and more getting your baby to sleep through the night.
I agree w/ Angela about the book Secrets of the Baby Whisperer. It just makes sense, and she takes a moderate approach. It may take you a few difficult nights, but now is the time to start having your baby sleep in her crib. Most important, be consistent. One recommendation she gives is picking the baby up once she's been crying and it's clear she won't fall back asleep on her own, comfort her, and put her back down in her crib awake but drowsy. Don't rock her to sleep or nurse her to sleep. If/when she starts crying again, you might want to pick her up and do the same thing. This may go on over and over (50 times!?) the first night, but by around night three, she should be tons better. Daytime naps should be the same - don't let her eat then nap right away - eat, wake time, THEN sleep. A little bit of 'crying it out' may be necessary. My 10 mo. old has always been a great sleeper, I feel because of the Baby Whisperer and the book Babywise. Your baby will be happy and well-rested, and you soon will be too!
So are there secrets out there - do the experts really know something that most parents don't know?
You don't really care about me. Hey, I know you just want to get your infant or toddler to sleep on a regular schedule.
